Dude plays MS-DOS Doom E2M8: The Tower of Babel (100%)!
11Well hey there guys, Nuclear-Skull87 here, and in at least one of today's videos I will be blasting my way through the very last level of the second MS-DOS Original Doom episode The Shores Of Hell, and that level will be Episode 2, Mission 8: The Tower Of Babel and this is the level where we will be facing the mighty Cyberdemon lord as he is the very last boss in this episode along the way we will be fighting lost souls as well though and I will be taking them out before I focus exclusively on my battle with the cyber-demon himself though so that way I can give him more central focus without any interruptions from said lost-soul enemies and we will also notice there is little to no tech-based architecture of the UAC variety to be found on this map at all and that is of course because we must be in a completely overrun part of the Lost Deimos Moon-Base as it has now been completely transformed into a demonic, satanic version of an Ancient Roman style Gladiatorial arena with the cyber-demon himself being the evil, demonic gladiator we have to fight no doubt.
It's also levels like these that give me a very fiery hellish Mortal Kombat type of vibe akin to the Pit 3 from the third Mortal Kombat game as it makes you think of giant, demonic, and mythical centaur-like demons one would find in both the bible as well as more paganistic mythos found in those of Ancient Greece and Rome perhaps too or even Ancient Atlantis for all I know as I sometimes picture Atlantis as resembling a weirder, wilder and more aquatic version of both Ancient Rome and Greece as it is shown to be an island in the sea no doubt.
Anyhow, back to gameplay. So this is one of those rare last levels of an entire episode where we don't need to get any color-coded keycards to exit the level itself we will just be taking out Lost Souls as they are the only other kinds of enemies in this level besides the cyber-demon himself of course and I like to get behind the giant granite-like pillars with the pentagrams and the goat-heads when evading the rockets from the cyber-demon so that way it's the pillars that are hit of course and not Doom-guy (I.E. the character) we play as of course.
