Dude plays RE1 Original (PC Version): Chris Redfield Part 1!
Well hey there folks and fellow Youtubers and welcome to a brand new series of let's play videos for the PC version of the very original Resident Evil originally released for the Playstation 1 26 years ago on March 22, 1996, and no I am not playing this on Steam or any other digital gaming platform either but via the very original physical copy of the PC game itself originally released for Windows 95 and since this part 1 of my walkthrough I will be starting out at the main hall of the Spencer Mansion in this video as a result and even before that I will show you all the opening cutscene including the one where we see our first zombie in the entire game as well and I will also talk about the feeling of nostalgia that arouses for me as well because my first experience with Resident Evil was up at my Aunt Anne and Kate's place and I remember just the freaky atmosphere of it in this old, creepy and decrepit mansion and how these big, tough military guys would have to go in and explore it as such as that has always been a fascinating premise for me and I remember also seeing the said first zombie in the game as well with his bald-head and ashen-gray skin and blood coming down the left-side of his mouth as well and it was from that moment onward I wanted to make a survival-horror videogame set also in some old haunted house type setting as well.
And so anyway, that was just a nostalgic little way for me to begin my description for this video here and anyhow we begin at the entrance hall of the game's infamous Spencer Mansion setting where we assume we are safe from a mob of Zombie-Dogs that chased us into the said mansion itself where several of our protagonists casually and stupidly assumed it was safe and then I go as Chris Redfield to the nearby dining room next door where we will be met by the eerie sound of a creepy grandfather clock as we walk past it and then we will enter another hallway through another door where we shall meet our first-ever zombie and boy o boy I just love how Capcom introduced players to the first zombie in this game as it was uniquely haunting and terrifying no doubt and so what I like to do is just run away from the first zombie just for the time being until I have a more powerful weapon like Jill Valentine's Beretta pistol and so that it makes it much, much and I mean much easier to take out said first zombie with as well as with the other zombies in the game as well and now being a survival-horror game of it's type and variety the pistol will start out rather low on said firearm's ammunition and so that could make it more difficult as you will have to use it more sparingly and in fact I don't believe I ever held this degree of difficulty maintaining good ammunition for the weapons in the remastered version of the 2002 GameCube remake I started a walkthrough for about a year ago prior to this one as you can use the firearms in that game fairly freely and frequently without having to worry about wasting too much ammunition too quickly and also the zombies can you take you out pretty quickly by eating you alive if you are not careful that is and even though the game is fairly cheesy and dated the zombies still manage to make some rather creepy and eerie, almost ghostly-sounding moaning sounds and that is another facet of this game that makes it nice and nostalgic for me as a result.
Whelp, I believe I have run out of things to say regarding this video folks and I will go ahead and let the rest of the video do the explaining on what to do at the start of this awesome game but remember if you like my video please take a zombie-chomp out of that like button below and if you want to see more of my videos please take another zombie-chomp out of that subscribes button below and I shall see you all when I see you all in the next video folks.
