Dude plays MS-DOS Doom E2M6: Halls of The Damned (100%)!
Well howdy there folks and fellow Youtubers and welcome to another video for the second episode of the original MS-DOS Doom: The Shores Of Hell as the level I will be demon-blasting my way through today is Episode 2, Mission 6 The Halls Of The Damned and yes like several different Shores Of Hell levels this is one of my favorite levels in the entire game as well as just franchise period and that it is particularly memorable for me is the fact that it has that one brown-hall with the flickering lights which is clearly where this level gets its name from no doubt and that is also why as such it is one of my favorite levels from this game too.
So anyway, now we will discuss some instructional details for this level in this video which is there are only three secret areas in this whole level despite its relatively large and substantial size and I will show you in alphabetical order where these exact secret areas in the halls of the damned are below:
A. Secret Area Number 1: 5:55!
B. Secret Area Number 2: 6:45!
C. Third & Last Secret Area: 8:43!
And that is the parts of my video there folks were that unholy trinity of secret areas in this level as there are only three of them on this map as I said just now and now let us discuss keys, as usual, there are three color-coded keys in this level altogether one red, one yellow and one blue except the difference is unlike the other levels in this level and more like the last map before this one the fortress of mystery they are shaped like skeletal heads and that makes sense of course as this is one of the more hellishly terraformed areas of the so-called Lost Deimos Base no doubt and the skeletal shape of said keys very much reflects the fact of what Hell has done to this area of the Lost Deimos Base as the moon of Deimos is again no longer floating above Mars but Hell itself and again we can see that in how demonic architecture has taken over parts of this man-made martian base.
Anyway, back to the issue of keys at hand so we will get two of these keys which are located in the part of the level that had all three of the level's only secret areas but the other one the last key is located in that brown area that has become interwoven with brown demonic architecture and we will need all three of these keys to exit this level altogether and now there will be one set of doors separate from the main exit that doesn't actually exist at all but rather what fans call fake exits as they are actually a trap, to be honest, and the video itself will explain all of that.
And so last but least on to enemies and items. Now, taking out all enemies in this level is fairly straightforward, to be honest, that is if you happen to know the level really well like the palm of your hand of course otherwise I am sure this can be (at least initially) a fairly tough and daunting task that is you are doing a 100% walkthrough like I am doing for this game MS-DOS Doom but once again when you get the hang of it it should be a piece of cake and grabbing all the health and armor bonuses are also pretty easy to find and grab as well as there aren't a lot of areas containing them but they should be pretty easy to find in spite of that just also make sure you do a practice run of the halls of the damned itself before you hit that record button. At least if you are doing a 100% walkthrough of Bigmacdavis or Nuclear-Skull87 style.
Whelp, I shall go ahead and let the rest of the video do the talking, and remember though if you like this video please aim and fire Doomguy's shotgun at that like button below and if you want to see more of my videos please fire a BFG-9000 at that subscribes button below and I shall see you all when I see you all in the next level of this game Episode 2, Mission 7 The Spawning Vats but that will again be in the next video. Until then, however, I am Nuclear-Skull87. Goodbye for now and you have an excellent and wonderful rest of your day. Amen!
