This is the most impressive level from the DOOM64 pack so far. Coherent choice of improved DOOM64 textures, rocks and trees to decorate the location, interesting architecture of otherworldly buildings and dangerous adventures where Duke sometimes suddenly shrinks.

5:17 a mechanic with throwing the barrel brings memories. Many years ago when playing DN3D and seeing how Duke squishes shrinked enemies I thought eventually there will be an entry in the series where taking items would be animated and they won't just disappear.

Years after this mechanic still doesn't exist in games or exist but animation isn't perfectly synced with an item. Crysis 1 is the only game I know that did it right, where the character actually takes the item with his hand and this move is very fast so that you won't get tired of seeing it all the time.

Back to the map, throwable barrel is very fun. Great idea to include this optional way to defeat the enemies.

Golden pillars at 11:15 and waterfall cave at 14:14 are memorable landmarks.

Enemy placement is done well, new enemies appear upon opening the path to advance to make the battle more intense and give a hint where to go.
