The behir first appeared in the first edition adventure module, The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth in 1982 and has featured in every edition of Dungeons and Dragons since then. While some alterations for different environments featured in some of the variants, the Behir has remained largely unchanged since it's inception.. because if it ain't broke, why fix it?
