Dust Raiders | Post Apocalypse Convoy RPG
Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series.
My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review.
In this episode I check out an interesting new Post Apocalyptic Indie RPG called Dust Raiders. This game was developed by Vixa Games, who also worked on the Lovecraftian RPG Edge Of Sanity and was Published by my friends at Playway SA, who are one of the most prolific Simulation Game Publishers on Steam
Dust Raiders takes place in a Post Apocalyptic World of the future, where mankind ekes out a living in the barren wastes. The game follows the leader of a convoy, who finds themselves ambushed by a warlord called Sawblade. With their convoy in ruins and their crew slaughtered its up to the player to rebuild a new fleet of vehicles, recruit a new crew of hardened survivors and set of search of revenge. In order to complete your mission you will need to navigate the deadly conditions of the wastes, travelling between settlements, establishing trade routes, building relationships with local factions by completing tasks for them and battling sawblades army of raiders. Your ultimate goal is of course to hunt down Sawblade and exact vengeance for you and your crew.
Dust Raiders differs from many other Post Apocalyptic games by offering players freedom in how they want to make their mark on the wasteland. You can build up your convoy into a deadly army and become a mercenary by accepting contracts to hunt Sawblades Raiders, work as a courier, moving packages between each settlement for a hefty profit, or you can can decide to focus purely on trade, by buying and selling valuable commodities and catering to the needs of the Wastelanders, using the games easy to use trading system.
While Dust Raiders is a little rough around the edges and does need a little polish, I still found myself enjoying the games campaign. Open World Post Apocalyptic games are somewhat rare on Steam, so if your a fan of these games then this game might be worth a look.
Please note: All opinions in this video are my own. Game was provided by the developer for review purposes
