Dustforce - Something Something
some early, but not exactly blind (after hundreds of retries), runs of a few levels. the period of which i'm basically wrestling with the controls more than anything else. conditions; S for completion & finesse.
it's a good thing i stopped caring about high score & rankings & whatnot since half a decade ago coz the replays of higher scorers almost make me question why i picked this game up again.
*sigh* anyhow...
it takes a bloody long time to actually be able to aerial dash after a jump but different case altogether after a fall. i'm still digesting why aerial moveset limitation is not applicable to downward dash. & personally, i don't agree on using 'up' as part of movement control for a 2d platformer, especially when it's already used to direct an action.
aside from ceiling run which feels somewhat loose, there's ample control of player character, nice atmosphere, but poor menu.
much better than another game with the word "dust" in its title, which i've regretted playing through to the end.
probably the last game i'll buy as i save up money & brain cells for FFXV.
* yes, i post edited some colours & stuff, for better or worse, & out of sheer boredom.
