Techland blocked cheating by changing game's data files in a recent patch which is blocking players from gaining more performance. VisMOwnZ decided to make a small manager tool wich allows users to simply check or uncheck options they want.
Creating obstacles for modders has never been the intention of Techland, and they are sorry for the inconvenience. Techland is now working on a quick patch that will re-enable common tweaks while stopping cheating in the game’s multiplayer mode.
1: You can get the manager tool over here http://dyinglight.gamebanana.com/tools/5801
2: Unzip and start the Dying Light manager tool (right click & run as admin)
3: Make sure you click on "Enable Mods", to let the changes take effect
4: Check or uncheck options you want or don't want
5: Hit the launch icon in the middle to start your game
My performance is much more stable now and i gain a decent increase in FPS just by disabling the cloud shadows and some other things.
This manager tool is the best thing available until the developers come with a new patch. How many frames are you getting with this tool?
