This is a guide in order to obtain the 4th weapon for Liu Bei, in Dynasty Warriors 3.

Other notes:
The weapon requirement is easy, the stage is not. Yi Ling is weighted against the Shu Forces, even if you prevent the fire attack you can find yourself on the map alone fighting a whole army before long, as the Wu Forces have notably high defences along with morale to overwhelm the Shu.

Sun Shang Xiang has a lot less defence than the rest of the Wu generals, making her easier to defeat. That's the good news. The bad news is that once all your other generals are killed, since you are the commander everyone starts making a beeline for your location.

As always for Yi Ling, the Wu Forces go overboard with the crossbow units attached to each force, and on top of that, the gates near Sun Quan are able to generate more. It can make for a tough fight, with the melee troops having great defensive power and the crossbows packing a punch. A dangerous combination if not dealt with correctly.

In this run I dropped the Tiger Amulet. Since I wouldn't be doing a lot of damage anyway even with the amulet, I made room for the Shell Armour to avoid the problem of the crossbows. Damage came more from the Musou attack of Liu Bei, which is pretty brutal in its own right, backed up with the fire effect from the Way of Musou item. This covers the two major issues with this fight, and makes the generals take a little longer to take down, but gives you better survival in general so it's worth the trade off. You can use whatever setup works for you, but this is not a bad one.
