Gameplay "9999 Max Combo"
- The lovely Sakuya.. errr.. Cheria.. err.. Wang Yuanji shall find out the max hit combo! Apparently it is 9999.
- Shield&Sword weapon switch attack stuns target.
- Throwing Knives (which has no knockdown properties on its normal attacks) will keep resetting the stun property.
I use these two weapons since it is very safe to perform especially at the end (against the wall) and the fact you can't spam Square with any other weapons.
- There are a few tricks that must be done to assure you can reach this high.
01) For one thing the direction the enemy face when you stun him is the direction they will move (even if you attack from a different angle it will always move that direction unless blocked by the wall or so). In my case, he will always move North.
02) You can change the direction slightly though to avoid early combo loss (like deep water). As you can see, I slightly strafe to the left to keep Su Fei from reaching the deep water on the left side on the shallow water path.
If you take too long to reset the combo, you may cause a knockdown, so becareful. You can see that happen at the very end at the "No Escape" part.
03) When you reach the end of the map, it is VERY hard to keep track of target since you are directly point blank against the wall, which you could miss the attack and fail the combo (or get motion sickness from constant camera adjustment against the wall).
This is where I figured if I can manipulate the general toward the "No Escape" location. It is very easy to finish the remaining hits since you can't get near the poor victim while staying far enough back to attack forever without any camera changes (hence no fear of missing the combo).
Well it was fun seeing how high the combo counter can go.. took about 20 minutes overall to reach the limit.
