It's here, one of the most important versions of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, the E3 Build 15th June 1997 with its shiny gray logo.
You can see that it's using the first title as a base with the HUD elements being carried over and the pause menu being the same as well as that intro sequence.

Probably an important thing to talk about now rather than leaving it as a question, after a slide jump Crash won't immediately start moving again like we're used to in the final, Crash in-fact stops and contemplates his life for a minute, you can nullify this effect by spinning before touching the ground if you jump immediately after you can still have that stopping movement.

0:00 - Boot
0:49 - Warp Room 2

1:08 - Level 6: Snow Go
Wanted to quickly show the pause menu with the cute upside-down M for "WARP".
Mostly some missing crates and some item rearrangements going around here most notably the steal crates stack on the first ice-skating segment being off the ice, later in, in place of the Red Gem is an Aku Mask and reflective wall.

3:31 - Level 7 (22): Rock It
Aku's not usable in the level compared to final, again mostly rearrangements going around and actually some obstacles that were removed in the final release.

5:33 - Level 8: Bear It
Polar's silent, towards the end of the level you're unable to sprint that's under that game's logic at that point.

7:11 - Level 9 (3): Hang Eight
That platforms at certain segments are different with its layout compared to final release this is strikingly obvious in the opening of the level.

9:11 - Level 10 (Boss 3): Taz Tiger / Tiny Tiger
Nothing really striking besides the missing health bar. Tiny's beta name is there which only shows up on the pause menu on the NTSC-U release.

Spikestuff why is this 4k?
Cause dithering.

Followup Question. Why not use the Dither removal?
Well you might as well go to a YouTube channel that's using some plugin garbage then.
But in all seriousness it's to show off the dithering applied to the game and 4k is unfortunately the only resolution where the bitrate won't get destroyed.
