Now that all the Grandmasters have been released, the Solo Conqueror Title is complete! In the video I've put in clips from all of the first solo clears of each of the Grandmaster Nightfalls. I tried to trim as much as I could, keeping it to the strategies I created to deal with certain section, or tricky encounters with particular Champions. It still ended up very lengthy, but I didn't want to cut too much out overall. I also might just put an all 6 compilation together, including the full clips. Let me know if people want to see that.
For completing all of these, by far and away Nightstalker Hunter with an Invis Build is best if you want an easy clear. Personally I have mixed feelings about using those, as it is incredibly cheesy and negates the challenge overall. But it is also very effective, and in some cases it feels essential. Over time I'll revisit the Grandmaster Nightfalls and see if I can eventually put together one for each class completing all 6 Grandmasters.
In terms of difficulty, I'd say either The Insight Terminus or Tree of Probabilities are the two hardest to solo. Tree of Probabilities mainly because the Overload Champion can bug out (and does), causing it to constantly heal and not stagger properly. This caused a lot of wipes during the boss fight that you can't do anything about. The Insight Terminus in itself is pretty difficult, a lot can go wrong and a lot can one hit you. But perhaps that's just because it was the very first one and I wasn't sure what to expect.
Exodus Crash ended up being a bit easier than I expected, mainly due to the spots I found and even when doing it on the Warlock. Broodhold actually ended up harder than I thought. Without invis I think that would be a nightmare. Warden of Nothing is probably equal easiest with the invis and cheese strategy, without doing that is something I'm stumped on (mainly capturing the plates). The Arms Dealer is the easiest overall though, regardless of what class you use it's an easy completion. Even without using the tower cheese.
Lastly, my overall opinions on the Grandmaster Nightfalls: I do think it's a nice addition to have challenging content in the game, but I think "challenging" could've been implemented differently. There's no change at all from the Master Nightfall outside of being handicapped on power level. All of the enemies and Champions behave exactly the same, there's no additional Champions at all. In terms of being watchable, I think the goal failed (particularly for solo clears). As it ends up a slow trudge through enemies that have a massive health pools. Couple this with the Champion system and there's very litte variety to be had and not much you can change.
I think it would be more exciting if you were closer to power level but more mechanics were added that forced you to complete objectives during the strike or you wipe (I think capturing the mines like Warden of Nothing is a good example). In an organised group simply having a power deficit isn't enough, as you can negate nearly anything with a combination of Wells, Bubbles or Titan Shields. But if you need to make a coordinated effort to complete objectives on a timer, that force you to change your positioning and preventing cheese spots, I think that would be more challenging. Obviously I'm saying this after largely utilising cheese spots and invis, but with power deficit it forces a certain playstyles. Personally I feel like those would be better ways to create a challenge, but it's still nice to have something challenging in the game regardless.
My PC setup is nothing too crazy at all, but the specs are:
i7-8700, GTX 1070, 16GB DDR4-3000 Ram, 256GB SSD, 2TB HDD.
Allows me to run max settings at constant 60FPS while recording. Which is about all I need for now :)
