0To get the Earth Shield Rune in Season of Discovery you have to do the following steps:
Step 1: Kill the first boss of Blackfathom Deeps Raid, who will drop a special orb to be turned in.
Step 2: Pick up Elemental Distress, a new Shaman quest available at the Zoram Strand in Ashenvale.
Step 3: Defeat elementals in Ashenvale and Charred Vale to get quest motes.
Step 4: Obtain an Elixir of Wisdom and Elixir of Water Breathing for Elixir of Insight.
Step 5: Defeat Hirzek in Southern Barrens.
