Here's an easy way to beat the ladybug early in the game without taking damage. Make sure to use the hammer that requires red soldier ant parts. Charge the hammer, smash, hit the jump back button and repeat the pattern. The only risk here is here charge but since you'll be far away between each attack, you'll see the charge in advance and it's easy to block.
