EasySMX X20 Controller - SCAM ? Or Bad Customer Support ? (READ PINNED!)
The EasySMX X20 is a Controller that was featured recently by Linus Tech Tips as one of the Best Controllers you can get. Sadly, I had a very different experience.
From bad Quality Control to Shady Marketing to Contradicting Customer Support. All of it leaving a sour taste.

@EasySMX has reached out through email, support ticket and in this comment section.
I counted three separate apologies, they also offered to send me their new controller model that has not released yet.
They also promised a few things:
1) "we’ll enhance our technical disclosures to ensure clearer communication" (This Comment Section)
2) "we will also enhance our technical disclosures and customer service to ensure clearer and more accurate information." (Direct email)
While these comments give me hope it's worth mentioning that at the time of publishing this comment the marketing on their official page is still vague at best and no visible changes have been made. (I will continue to monitor and update as necessary)
Update 2 (13/03/2025)
In a attempt to fix the Polling Rate problems of the X20, EasySMX have devised another Dongle/2.4Ghz Receiver Firmware Fix/Update. (First One at 04:03)
I'm happy to report that after installing and testing the hotfix it seems like the issues have been resolved! Polling rate went from ~160Hz to ~950Hz and stability from ~67% to ~95%.
That said, Dongle/2.,4Ghz Receiver updates are still not accessible through the EasySMX official webpage. If your X20 has the same polling rate / stability issues you need to go through Customer Support to get the necessary software. On this note, the EasySMX team informed me that:
1) "We will also release the firmware in case some customers encounter similar problems as you." (support ticket-0117)
2) "In addition, our product staffs are preparing to make a video on Youtube to test the X20 polling rate, and try to reproduce your problem and solve it.
In order to avoid some customers who encounter the same problem as yours, we will provide a reference and solution in that video." (support ticket-0117)
Once again they apologised and offered to send me their new D10 Controller to test, hoping that I would find anything potentially wrong with it. (I politely refused) If I ever chose to review a EasySMX product I will buy it with my own money through a anonymous account. This is done to ensure fairness / no bias.
I have once again asked them to correct / clarify their marketing on the official EasySMX Website and better instruct their customer support operatives in order to avoid such situations going forward. The Response was:
"I will tell our marketing team ."
Finally, I also informed EasySMX of this update.
Update 3 (17/03/2025)
Happy to report that the information on the official EasySMX X20 webpage has been updated and is now a lot more clear. From "1000Hz polling rate" to "Polling rate- 1000Hz under Xinput mode with wired or 2.4ghz wireless connection; 125Hz under bluetooth connection."
More users have reported the polling rate issue. The EasySMX customer support is currently providing the dongle firmware fix via email.
