I'm replaying Epic Battle Fantasy 3 because it's on Steam and I want all those free cheevos I know how to get. If you've never played it before, it's free and I highly recommend it. That said, it's a big downgrade going back to this from Epic Battle Fantasy 4 which is an improvement in every way.

Due to the length and epicness of this fight, I do change the music for this one to "Keeper of Lust" from Persona 5.

The Pyrohydra is no easy feat, with a wide variety of strategies that can be employed. It's difficult but possible to weaken all 3 heads in sync to avoid the minion summoning when one head remains, but this is not recommended because Czars can heal them and Dispel your team. I load up on Dark resistance and some protection from Death so I can ignore Abyss for last. However I do make some effort to whittle them down together near the end. His minions are also completely shut down by Syphon, so this strategy is easy for me. At this point I need to start using Pizzas to sustain in long fights... you'll see a lot of that against Akron. Up until now all these fights have been my first attempt (this playthrough), but Akron is on an entirely different scale and will take some luck to beat.
