Growing up back in the day, I became incredibly familiar seeing these crazy cracktros released by warez cracking groups back during the heydays of the PlayStation and the Dreamcast. Modding had a fairly decent following in Canada back in the day due to relaxed laws at the time. I had always remembered seeing this particular cracktro for Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 by Echelon, but hadn't ever seen anyone upload it to this day.. so I sourced it down and recorded it myself.

For cracktro standards, this isn't particularly great, however it stuck with me as a child so I really wanted to get this out. Echelon had a much better, catchier cracktro that most of their releases from 2001 would have, I might have to upload that at somepoint.

I wouldn't recommend this particular release to anyone. This original Echelon release had a serious bug where saving the game would result in crashing the game outside of anywhere that wasn't the Options menu, and the paint sliders were broken, causing the slider to not only go all the way to the left, but even go further down than what the game ever intended to allow. Echelon would later release a patch to fix this, which eventually became the common release of this game on the internet in .cdi format.

Adding ontop of that was how the Echelon releases were more stressful to the Dreamcast, which could result in wearing the laser out faster. If you REALLY need a burned copy of this game, I would recommend going for the ReviveDC release, as it contains none of the glitches that the original Echelon release had, and does not stress out the console as much due to being ripped much better.
