The bad ending requires you to not save any of the peaceful ghosts. This skips about half of the game, so you should refer to the other playthrough I have produced for a complete run.
Please note that this is segmented and edited.

Notes
Releasing the hostile ghosts is required to progress. There’s no way not to release them and complete the game. The exception to this is the final hostile ghost, which you just bypass completely.
