This fight took a few attempts and some longer practice runs to determine which moves I could reliably Guard Counter. Positioning on this fight is definitely important, not being right in the center of his attacks but instead countering the shockwave AoE I think was the way to go for a lot of his attacks. In this fight I also noticed something neat I didn’t before, that if I guard counter him while he’s doing that dragging sword charge attack he’ll always fall down and be open for a riposte. This happened enough times for me to determine it was consistent, only problem is was that I could never get the riposte because his face was always out of the arena barrier lol
Basic Challenge Rules
- I can only attack the boss off of a Guard Counter. No normal attacks, melee or magic or consumables are allowed
- An exception is that I am allowing myself to riposte a boss if they are poise broken. The poise break is a reward for consistent Guard Counters so I feel I should take the free damage
If you don’t see me guard countering a move 9/10 it’s because the move isn’t able to be guard countered and I’ll be knocked back and do the flip animation if I do
