Elden Ring- Legendary Warrior | RL1 Claymore/Flamberge Run
Background: So I wanted to do another RL1 run, this time, using a weapon class that is a tried and true comfort class for me: the Greatsword weapon class. On top of that, I wanted to honor two of my favorite weapons in the Souls series: the Claymore and the Flamberge.
The Process/Restrictions:
1. A Level 1 run means no leveling. Runes cannot be used to increase my character's overall level. Armor, Talismans, Physicks or Great Runes used to increase my level are acceptable as they do not permanently increase my level and some are necessary to even employ the weapons and strategies I had in mind.
2. For this run, I made my way immediately to the Weeping Peninsula to obtain the Claymore and used it for the first half of my run from Margit to Morgott, using its native weapon skill, Lion's Claw for immense raw and stance damage even at Level 1. The Claymore has to be two-handed even with Radagon's Soreseal because of its 16 Strength requirement which is why I also had the Strength Knot Crystal Tear as well. After defeating Radahn, I had obtained the Flamberge at Redman Castle, but didn't start using it until the Fire Giant and would continue to use it on all other bosses moving forward with the exception of Radabeast because they cannot bleed, where I switched back to the Claymore, but added Flaming Strike.
3. Summons and Ash Summons were generally off-limits for two reasons: One, it goes against the spirit of the challenge and two, it leads to less predictable boss A.I.
4. This time, I had decided to just upgrade my weapons as much as I felt like it before taking on bosses, hence why my first fight wasn't until I had a +10 Claymore against Margit, which didn't take very long to upgrade it to that level.
5. Armor did not matter to me. Is only wearing two pieces of armor or less optimal? No. Did I care? Also, no.
Weapons and Ashes of War used:
1. Claymore: Lion's Claw, Flaming Strike (Flaming Strike only used on Radabeast)
2. Flamberge: Storm Blade, Giant Hunt (Giant Hunt only used on Gideon)
3. Dagger: Golden Vow
4. Finger Seal: For Bloodflame Blade and Flame, Grant me Strength
Talismans used:
- Radagon's Soreseal: Increases Vigor, Endurance, Strength and Dexterity by 5, decreases damage negations by 15% (needed to wield the Uchigatana)
-Axe Talisman: Increases charged heavy attacks by 10%
-Two Fingers' Heirloom: Increases Faith by 5 (needed to cast Bloodflame Blade)
-Green Turtle: Increases Stamina regen rate
-Ritual Sword: Increases attack power by 10% at full healt
Physicks used:
-Strength Knot Crystal Tear: Increases Strength by 10 for 3 minutes
-Dexterity Knot Crystal Tear: Increases Dexterity by 10 for 3 minutes
-Purifying Crystal Tear: Minimizes damage done by Mohg's Nihil
Great Runes used:
Godrick's Great Rune: Increases all stats by 5 when active (active on Elden Beast and Mohg)

Bosses not fought/not featured and why:
-Rennala: She is more trouble than she is worth. I had no need to respec because of the nature of a Level 1 run and she prolongs the fight longer than necessary with her excessive spell casting and summoning.
-Regal Ancestor Spirit: Boring fight as a whole. Majestical as hell, but not a fight worth going out of the way for.
-Lichdragon Fortissax: This boss takes way too much time to get to, has obnoxious A.o.Es and the idea of fighting Fia's Simps at Level 1 sounds terrible.
-Astel: Like Lichdragon, takes too much effort to get to, has obnoxious A.o.Es and the grab attack is the worst.
-Godskin Duo: Not featured because this fight is probably the single worst gank fight From Software has ever created. They're a terrible boss together and the only thing good to come out of this fight is their theme.
-Dragonlord Placidusax: Incredibly tanky, a boring 1st phase, some problematic A.o.Es, Placidusax is kind of a slog in my opinion. To be honest, Placidusax can get on my nerves almost as much as Elden Beast, except one of them is mandatory to beat the game and Placidusax isn't it.
