Ah yes, the most infamous fight in the game. Malenia, Blade of Miquella is definitely one of the hardest fight in the game. Is it the hardest? definitely, but I feel like this fight is the epitome of learning, because after doing several runs you kinda start to get all of her attacks so in the end you're pretty much ready for anything she does and how to counter it, so it kinda becomes one of the more simple fights. Of course, getting there is the journey and the main issue.

Somewhere before this I was starting to feel like the boss fights were not being that challenging, especially after getting the Mimic Tear/Black Knife ashes, so I stopped using the summons entirely.

I decided to go with a double greatsword build. I ran a Faith build so I was already using the Blasphemous Blade, I just added the Golden Order sword which was another Faith scaling weapon that I had laying around. I had always known that 2 GS jump attack was good, so when I saw that she staggered very easily with a GS attack, I realized this was the best time to go the 2 GS route, and it worked great. At this point in time I only knew the basics of her weaknesses, mostly her being weak to Frost (which was irrelevant to me) and Bleed, which is why I decided to use a bleed spell randomly whenever I had some downtime, since it was a "free" way to get some damage/stagger.

This was, without question, the fight that took me the longest. It was very fun.
