Remember this is a general tool for you to understand these numbers. Don't think that you need to stop after hitting a soft cap (unless it's for bleed/poison build up after 60 in arcane lol). There are many benefits of going past a soft cap for any amount of builds.

Few notes that I think will be helpful:

While the Prince of Death Staff is a HYBRID, it has normal scaling at 60/80. So it does not follow the usual 30/45 soft cap breakpoint for hybrid catalysts. This staff is the only exception to this rule.

I mentioned that pure arcane catalysts scaling follows the standard 60/80. HOWEVER, there is no PURE arcane catalyst. All of them are hybrid lol. If one ever gets introduced via a DLC (if that even happens in souls games), then maybe there will be 1 :) For now the Dragon Comm seal is the best seal in general and one that scales pretty well with arcane (as it has a higher scaling vs. faith). Seriously op busted.

I glossed over bleed/poison scaling for arcane but it is quite simple. If you wanted more information, here we go! To put it simply, blood/poison buildup has a 45, then 60 soft cap. After 45, you're going to start seeing really big diminishing returns and after 60, it's pretty much negative. This does not mean stop at 60 arcane, this just means for blood/poison build up, there really is no point. BUT, if you have a weapon that scales with arcane or even hybrid catalysts that scale with arcane, feel free to take it to 80. While you will see diminishing returns, it's not as bad as for blood/poison build up.
