We check out the early access steam game, Elderborn! In this Elderborn gameplay video we play through the first stage of the game. Elderborn is a first person action game, where you use swords and hammers instead of the usual guns, there is also a fair amount of jumping and climbing and some very light puzzle elements. Did I mention you can kick enemies to their doom in Elderborn? Because you can.

The game is described like this on the STEAM page:

"ELDERBORN is a skill-based slasher infused with ancient heavy metal melee combat. Slice your way through an adventure inspired by the cult classics of the FPP genre and relive the old-school feeling of a game that doesn’t hold your hand."

I dont know if I really agree with that description just yet, as Elderborn still has a long way to go to become a fun and exciting game. However, right now they do seem to have a competent base of a game, it just needs more time to cook. Right now the game just feels a bit empty and not all that fun tbh. Also I gotta say, Elderborn is a terrible name for a game in a universe where Elder Scrolls and Bloodborne exist.
