What you need to be careful in M27 is when the new portal appears. Every time a new portal appears, you need to have enough firepower to deal with them. If your current spot can hold its own, then reserve your gold and be ready for a new portal. The difficulty spikes up when those monsters started spawning. Having blacksmith tower is very important on this level because you do not get a lot of gold, and, prime building spots are very limited. Knowing when to reserve your gold is a key. You may have to restart a few times to find which location to build, and get the idea of how many towers should be enough, while reserving the income for interests.
