VR gameplay from the Elite: Dangerous 2.2 Beta 3 patch. Flying the Beluga with HTC Vive.

Patch 2.2 introduced many new features to Elite: Dangerous, most notably ship launched fighters, passenger missions, VIP missions, the Beluga Liner cruise ship, new heat mechanics, white dwarf and neuron star enhancements, and more.

I recorded this footage in virtual reality with the HTC Vive VR HMD. The new patch added some new VR features but they are mostly minor. The most visible new virtual reality feature is the new VR preset graphic settings, but even VR Ultra does not fix the inherent suspersamping issues with Elite: Dangerous on the Vive.
