Elite: Dangerous Beta 2.06 - Twitch.tv Broadcast 001 - 18/10/14

The first proper live streaming broadcast, on Saturday 18/10/14, started at 4:30pm (UK time). I begin by doing a couple of well paid bulletin board missions and cargo runs between Eranin and Styx, to make sure I have over 800,000 credits to cover my insurance just in case my ship is destroyed. With this done, I then take my super-upgraded Cobra into combat at last, as she heads into the Federation distress signal zone above the planet Eranin 2. She starts off well, and the plasma accelerator shows how deadly it is when I get the aim right (still need a LOT of work on the aim though). But i'm eventually forced to flee as 4 Federation fighters open fire on me at the same time and my lack of shield cell means I can't reinforce the shields fast enough for my liking... making this the next essential upgrade for this ship. But taking out 14 enemy ships after such a long time away from combat is satisfying enough.
All in-game settings maxed and played at 2560x1440. Recorded at 30fps, 720p HD with Nvidia ShadowPlay. Watch in 720 HD for best quality!
