Elite Dangerous - Planet Surfaces Updated "Beyond" - More INRA bases found & NEW Aegis modules!
Elite Dangerous Planet Surfaces get overhauled in a Massive update for Q1 next year with the Beyond Expansion. Frontier Developments shows off their New Planet tech demo and gives us a peek at what Planets will look like with new Terrain graphics. We take a look at how planets have changed since launch.
More INRA bases have been found and now 6 INRA bases have been discovered as the story behind the mycoid virus is unveiled and we learn how INRA fought off the Thargoids during the first Thargoid War.
The fourth AEGIS initiative in complete and commanders now have access to the AEGIS shutdown field neutralizer. The Shutdown neutralizer protects human ships from the Thargoid shutdown field that the Thargoid interceptor ships emit. The Shutdown field neutralized can be bought at military planetary bases.

Ambassadors Needed for Paris Games Week (short notice)
Bonjour!
We’re looking for a couple of people to come and be ambassadors for Elite Dangerous/Thrustmaster at Paris Games Week in, you guessed it, Paris. The dates we'd need you are from October 31st - November 5th (short notice sorry!)
If you want to come and help us demo the game/Thrustmaster's sticks (no previous experience completely necessary with the sticks) you must be over 18, free on the dates listed, familiar with the game, Paris-based (or very close... if willing to travel could be fine... just ask) and able to travel to Paris. You must also be able to put up with spending an hour or two with me... it's not a completely horrible experience, honestly.
To apply, please send an email to community@frontier.co.uk, with your name, address, and reason why we should pick you as an Elite Dangerous ambassador for Paris Games Week.
We will cover transport costs, accommodation and approved expenses. If you need any more information, don't hesitate to get in touch!
We've got quite a short deadline on this as we're getting things sorted out nice and early! So please get in touch by the end of the week. Thanks!
Hopefully hear from you soon.
Ed

Galactic News: Fourth Aegis Campaign Concludes
19 OCT 3303
The fourth phase of Aegis’ campaign to counter the Thargoid threat has come to an end. Hundreds of independent pilots supported the initiative by taking to their ships to deliver commodities to Cremona Prospect. The materials will be used to test and mass-produce a shutdown-field neutraliser, developed by engineer Elvira Martuuk, which will counter the Thargoids’ ability to disable human spacecraft.
Martuuk released a brief statement to the media:
“I want to thank those who hauled stuff out to Cremona Prospect. I just hope the tech I’ve developed will make a difference to the Commanders on the front lines.”
Pilots who contributed to the initiative can now collect their rewards from Cremona Prospect in the Khun system.
