Elite Dangerous - Railgun vs Cannon vs Multi Cannon (in combat)
149Lot of people struggle to find a best gun for their ship, well here I'm testing out 3 different weapons to see which performs best in an actual combat. I'm not talking about which weapon is able to take out a standing target the fastest, i'm talking about which weapon performs best in uncontrolled environment.
So i'm testing Medium size guns, Railgun, Cannon and Multi-Cannon (Minigun) on Cobra MKIII.
In short, there's no "best" weapon, it highly depends what you need it for. and by that, i mean if you need it for bounty hunting, playing in coop, taking down assassination target or just for defense from pirates.
My personal favorite is multi-cannon, but it's rather useless against strong ships and shields, while railguns can take out just about anything, but they have almost no ammo ... so going bounty hunting with railguns ... is a bad idea, you'll run out after taking out 2-4 ships, while multi-cannon can last you up to like 10 medium / large ships taken out in coop and like 20-40 small ships.
cannons? .. they're useless in my opinion. you won't be able to hit small ships at all, unless they stand still and against big ships, it's still hard to hit.
