We have a huge update for you this week! The much requested Rescue has finally been added to the game. The Rescue comes with a Q Siren, and a set of train horns. Along with all this, we have added automatic siren modes to all of the fire trucks, our first ambulance, a new siren for EMS, a weather and day/night system, and more!

The Interactive demo gives our supporters and people curious about the game, the opportunity to preview some of the quality and feel of the game. In the demo you are able to interact with vehicles that will be featured in EmergeNYC. Due to the amount of work still needed on some of the vehicles, we will only be putting out 3 for you today. Tonight you can mess around with Engine 30, Tower Ladder 68, and Battalion 5. As the week progresses however, we will be updating the demo and introducing the rest of the Fire Department fleets. This gives us the opportunity to continue working on the demo to improve it, optimize it, and add things to it, while at the same time, not rushing everything into it.

A couple of things you can mess with in the demo:

Preview our Emergency Lights and our Emergency Lighting system. Press J to activate the lights on the trucks and to switch between lighting stages on Battalion 5.

Explore the vehicles inside and out. You can open and explore virtually every door and compartment on the trucks and start to get a feel for what will be where. We still have more equipment to add so this is only the beginning. Open and Close doors by simply right clicking the door when highlighted. You can also hold the right mouse button and drag to open the door at whatever angle you please.

Test out the hydraulic outriggers on Tower Ladder 68 by holding V and B to get your truck off the ground.

Hover your mouse over equipment on the truck to view a tooltip and become familiar with it.

This is a our very first development build so please do not be surprised if you run into issues. This first build is a test to see where were at with optimization, performance, and user friendliness. Remember, this Interactive Demo is a work in progress and will constantly be updated and improved with additional vehicles, features, and options.
