This tutorial covers how to make a block emit redstone power when a block is next to the block, This can be done by testing if a block next to the current block will provide power updates and if the condition of a block is there or not. Based on this we can then return a power value between 0 and 15.

For more information on how to use return blocks, you can watch this video here where I covered how to use them. In the case of this block you only need to return the amount of redstone power when the condition is true and a default value when it's false at the end of the procedure. Redstone power ranges from 0 to 15.
