With the new Dune movie released, I thought I'd upload some old videos of a playthrough of the last licensed strategy game for the franchise released in 2001 (although stylistically it looks more like the David Lynch 1984 film than the descriptions in the books or the visuals from Denis Villeneuve's version).

Strategy overview:
The opponents are slightly stronger now, so really you want a force of about 20 combat tanks before attacking the base.

0:00 Opening Cutscene
1:45 Map
There is only one territory that isn't blocked by a sandstorm that allows me to advance to the Atreides capital, so I attack that, using the reserve force to get extra units
2:08 Briefing
There are no secondary objectives (which are normally worth going for), so it's simply going to be a case of destroying the enemy base.
2:25 Game Start
Economy first. I build two refineries and fully upgrade them. I also scout the surrounding area for wreckages that can be destroyed to reveal cash bonuses. I then build a factory, barracks and outpost. I then start building combat tanks.
3:40 Tleilaxu Leech discovered
These can be extremely annoying for opponents as they can infect their vehicle, gradually reducing their health, and when they are destroyed another leech is spawned. Potentially you can cause a chain reaction of destruction, or at worst, slow the enemy down having to repair the infected units. Going after their harvesters is an obvious tactic.
5:52 Scouting
I send some scouts out to find the enemy base by clicking on points in the radar to send them to all corners of the map. One discovers them and is killed off screen.
8:20 Small enemy attack
I used the combat tanks to go after their vehicles first targeting any Mongooses, then run the infantry over or use Buzzsaws.
9:33 My construction yard is captured
Whilst I'm scouting with the Leech and not looking at my base the Atreides sneak in and steal my construction yard with an engineer! Fortunately the AI isn't clever enough to do much more, so I simply train my own engineer and recapture it.
10:50 Carryall under attack
This is a voice message to be aware of. One of the the Atreides biggest advantage is that it's unit best suited for bulk production, the Mongoose can fire at aerial targets (unlike the Harkonnen combat tank or Ordos laser tank). This means when in a spice field they can target the Carryalls dropping of your harvesters and they can make short work of them. I send the combat tanks in to destroy them
12:20 First attack on the enemy base
After destroying the Mongooses in the spice fields, I notice the enemy base looks light, so attack it with 5 combat tanks. This isn't enough however, as more units under the fog of war appear
14:08 Enemy counter attack
I take the opportunity to start infecting them with the Tleilaxu Leech creating more of them
14:55 Hit and run attacks
I use the three Tleilaxu Leech to do hit an run attacks on the opposing forces serverly weakening them before my force of combat tanks is ready to roll in.
19:40 Second attack on the enemy base
This might have finished them off if a worm hadn't eaten a bit chunk of my attack force, but it causes cripling damage, by the time the fight is over I have another 10 tanks ready to follow up with
21:45 Final attack on the enemy base
The last attack I took out the enemy factory, so with no new vehicles built, there is little resistance.
22:46 Victory
