Overall Strategy:
Make sure you have autosave turned on before you start. This would be a mission where your only action is to ride to a destination. However, there is an opportunity to start Sharpshooter Challenge 1 where you have to shoot flying birds. You should absolutely take this, as it will enable you to complete three challenges in the next mission, which will decrease you relying on the game's RNG (random number generator) to spawn the right animals. If you do not shoot and kill at least three birds in flight, restart the mission.

10:07 Sharpshooter Challenge 1 Started
Do not go to the yellow marker yet. Note there are four birds perched on the gate of Fort Mercer. Sharpshooter Challenge 1 requires you to kill 5 flying birds. Note the birds must be in flight for this to count. Fire a shoot at the wall to scare the birds to take off. Then shoot and kill as many as you can. Your target is to get at least three. If you fail, restart the mission, as it will not take long. The important reason for doing this is on the next mission, you will be able to kill two more birds, completing Sharpshooter 1, also mission is scripted to spawn 5 Rabbits, and 5 Coyotes, enabling you to complete Sharpshooter 2 and 3, without any reliance on RNG to spawn the animals. This is a massive time save, whereas restarting the mission will not take you long. Once you are done, go to the yellow marker.
