Enable TPM 2.0 in Bios Menu on Windows 11 Computer in Minutes!
2Quick Steps to Enable TPM 2.0 in BIOS
1. Enter BIOS (1 minute)
Power Off: Completely shut down your Windows 11 PC.
Boot and Press Key: Turn on the PC and immediately press the BIOS key repeatedly. For Gigabyte motherboards, this is Del (or F2 on some models). For other brands, try F2, F10, or Esc (check boot screen or manual).
Advanced Mode (Gigabyte): If in Easy Mode, press F2 to switch to Advanced Mode.
2. Find TPM Settings (1-2 minutes)
Navigate: Use arrow keys to go to Settings - Miscellaneous or Peripherals (Gigabyte) or Security/Advanced (other brands).
Locate TPM:
AMD Systems: Look for AMD CPU fTPM or AMD fTPM Switch.
Intel Systems: Find Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) or TPM.
Other brands may list Trusted Platform Module, TPM Device, or Security Device Support.
Enable TPM 2.0: Select the option and set it to Enabled. If a version choice exists, select TPM 2.0. For Gigabyte:
AMD: Enable AMD CPU fTPM in Peripherals.
Intel: Enable PTT in PCH-FW Configuration or Trusted Computing.
Optional: In Trusted Computing, ensure Security Device Support is Enabled if TPM doesn’t activate.
3. Save and Exit (30 seconds)
Press F10 to save changes and exit.
Select Yes to confirm. The PC will restart.
4. Verify TPM in Windows 11 (1 minute)
Check TPM:
Press Win + R, type tpm.msc, and press Enter.
Confirm it shows “The TPM is ready for use” with Specification Version: 2.0.
Alternatively, open PowerShell as Administrator (right-click Start- Windows PowerShell (Admin)) and type Get-Tpm. Verify TpmPresent: True and TpmReady: True.
If TPM is not detected, re-enter BIOS and confirm settings.
