END Bosses - Throne of Want - Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin

So if I understood it right this is how it goes
Prior to your story there were the Dragonrider Vendrick and Aldia, a scholar, both looking for ways to break the curse of the undead. We'll get to them later but first to Nashandra. Nashandra, knowing that the remnants of the First Flame is in this parts came here to be the wife of Vendrick. She told Vendrick on how to become the Monarch to break the curse (this probably is how she got into the throne) in which she ploys to have him lead a charge towards the Giants. I'm not sure as to what the plan is, either it could be get the Giant's Kinship in which she covets from the Giant Lord OR kidnap Giants and use it to build the Drangleic Castle, but it seems that it's the latter one (Giants turned into Golems). Having his fellows kidnapped or something like getting back the "prize" that Chancellor Wellager mentioned, the Giant Lord commenced an attack to Drangleic which then caused the fall of the Kingdom (the battle front happened in the Forest of Fallen Giants, that's why the Last Giant is there). Vendrick knowing that this was all just a plan of his wife Nashandra then fled to Shrine of Amana. He probably have stayed and eventually left his soul here and his body, succumbing to the curse made its way to the Undead Crypt and was guarded by his trustful Aegis, Velstadt.
However, during the attack of giants (Shingeki much?) you came to this time through the Memory of Jeigh and slay the Giant Lord and took the Giant's Kinship. Despite this act, Drangleic is still bound to fall. Going back to Aldia, he was perhaps experimenting with the kidnapped Giants as to why the Golems suddenly appeared like what Drummond was talking about. And after the fall of Drangleic Aldia took those Giant's corpses and recreated the extincted dragons and also the fossilized one found in the nest of the Duke's Dear Freja which happens to be where he is studying, in Lord's Private Chamber (where you first met him... well that's where I first met him so...). This is why the Dragon Shrine can be found pass Aldia's Keep because this is where he placed all those recreated dragons. With this you can say that the current dragons are actually Giants which also explains why the Ancient Dragon gives you the Ashen Mist Heart used to access the Golems' and also the Dragon's memories (Golem is what it's made of, and the dragon which it's supposed to be). Also as to why this dragon drops a Soul of a Giant when it's a Dragon. In fact it shouldn't be dropping any sort of Soul because souls existed on the Age of Fire, pass the Age of Dragon, but that goes in a different story. Subsequently, having the Dragons recreated Aldia created the Emerald Herald Shanalotte. As Descendant of the Dragon she serves as the cure for the curse (because the dragons are eternal perhaps?), but didn't succeed in doing so. She then now serves as a guide for those who seeks to break the curse, like you.
Then you came in, the Cursed One. The Emerald Herald asked you to gather the withering flames of the First Flame so Nashandra would make an audience for you (because she wants those souls). You succeed and met Aldia for the first time and made your way to Drangleic Castle where Nashandra is waiting. You've faced her and asked you to seek Vendrick and be the next Monarch. You did met him as a hollow and got the King's Ring, but not from him as he is too powerful for you to take down. Rather, the ring was laying in the pile behind the room where he is. Soon you made your way pass Aldia's Keep and arrived at Dragon Aerie, where you also met the Emerald Herald saying that the Dragons welcome you, she understands because she's a descendant of the dragons. You are welcomed probably because these Dragons are actually Giants and you were the one who slayed the Giant Lord in the past. You made your way in the Dragon Shrine further proving that the Dragons welcome you as the dragonmen greets you with a salute of some sort. Meeting the Ancient Dragon and getting the Ashen Mist Heart you made your way to the past and took the Giant's Kinship and retrieve some Soul of a Giant. And apparently the hatred within those souls of Giants strengthens you in facing the now hollowed King Vendrick. Having the two things Nashandra sought, the remnants of the First Flame and the Giant's Kinship, you are now ready to be the Monarch. Going through the Throne of Want this fight (video) happens. And that's it
I like non-linear games where things makes sense the more you explore rather with linear story lines where you can easily predict the story. Now I'm off the the DLCs hihihi
