0ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist is an awesome 2D Metroidvania Souls-like game with a captivating narrative and gameplay in development. You play as Lilac, an Attuner who can save the Homunculi race and ally with them after brief bouts. With these creatures by your side, Lilac intends to discover the truth surrounding their lost memories and try to find the friends they believe to have. The narrative here is sparse past the introductory area, so there’s not much to say in that regard. Lilac has a remotely compelling motivation to push events forward, and the lore found via notes can be mildly engaging. The gameplay will be what you stick around for first and foremost. ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the Mist is an addictive and rewarding soul-like adventure that impressively follows in the footsteps of its standout predecessor. Between the notable combat variety and haunting soundtrack, I’m confident the final release will satisfy. But the lack of challenge is a facet I hope is improved before the complete launch if only to make each encounter more memorable. I can't wait for more development in the game.
