Enjoy Gerry O.'s Interview with Glenn Entis, the Academy Award winning co-founder and COO of Pacific Data Images (“PDI”). A leading graphics and special effects house, PDI was later acquired by DreamWorks Animation, the producer of such animated hits as Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, Antz, Shark Tale, and Madagascar. He was the Chief Executive Officer of DreamWorks Interactive, a joint venture between DreamWorks SKG and Microsoft, from its inception in 1995 until its acquisition by EA in 2000. Following the acquisition, Glenn became General Manager of the EALA studio, Executive Producer and Chief Visual Officer of EA Canada, and Senior Vice President and Chief Visual Officer and Technical Officer of the parent company.
Glenn has been chair of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences is a member of the Board of Governors of Emily Carr University and on the Advisory Board for the Great Northern Way Masters of Digital Media Program. Glenn is a General Partner with VanEdge Capital, a new venture capital fund focused on investments in interactive entertainment and digital media businesses.
