Against several odds, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered launched on April 22nd on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. The timing is somewhat conspicuous, especially since Bethesda officially announced and shadow-dropped the title on the same day. Nevertheless, it's caused a frenzy among longtime fans and newcomers.

The timing is also interesting due to the release of another anticipated title - Sandfall Interactive's Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Available just two days after Oblivion Remastered, it was touted as the major Game Pass release this month. As such, it felt a little counterintuitive to pit a much more well-known IP against it.

Regardless, those who can make room for both or want to prioritize a newer experience must check out Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. It not only offers one of the experiences out there today but one of this year's best in gaming.
