We begin when Crono arrives in the Middle Ages via the Gate from the Millenial Fair. We fight a few imps and stuff as we get down from the mountain, and then discover that yes, we are not in our own time, not by a long shot. We're 400 years in the past, and a lot of people seem to be talking about Queen Leene, who was rescued from the mountain we came from (hint hint). We travel to Guardia Castle and meet with Leene, who seems very familiar, as well as talk to others in the castle. We meet with the Queen and find that it is not the Queen, but MARLE! She talks to us as if we are some sort of hero, then disappears after saying some cryptic stuff. Lucca arrives when we go downstairs and explains that this is the past, Marle is the Princess in OUR TIME and that something has happened to the Queen and if we don't act fast Marle could be lost FOREVER! So, we take the billion and one hints the people of Guardia in 600AD say and go visit the Cathedral, which is occupied by nuns, nuns that turn into BIKINI CLAD SEXY SNAKE LADIES! We beat the snakes, and another appears only to be taken down by a Frog with a Sword. He ribbits, he ribbits bitch, and now we got a new party member!
