Helen's Mysterious Castle is a JRPG that doesn't quite fit in your JRPG mold. The game was developed by Satsu in RPG Maker and published by Playism. Helen's Mysterious Castle has a unique battle system that fully embrasses turn based system. Each ability has three statistics, efficiency, defence, and wait. Each battle is a one on one battle that requires your wit to win. The "wait" statistic is the amount of time your attack takes to execute. You can see your enemy's "wait" so you can time how many quick attacks you can dispatch before their turn or you can gamble with a big attack that will overlap into their next turn.
Helen finds weapons scattered across the mysterious castle which she can upgrade with the experience she urns. Upgrading your weapon is the level up system in the game as Helen has no levels. Upgrading your items raises their efficiency, their defence, while sometimes lowering their wait.
Follow Helen as she craves to explore the mysterious castle before her. Unable to remember where she is from (that's right, another amnesiac), she hopes to find the answers within. However, her path will not be easy. The castle is infested by monsters and demons.
