In the 13w37a and 13w37b snapshots, we got the tellraw commands which allow for options in the text menu to be clicked. Using this, I took the concept behind equivalent exchange-the EMC from the OP version and the limited transmutations from the current version, and made them using command blocks. The limitation is that it uses the /clear command since it is the only way to detect inventory items but it cannot remove only 1 item at a time so having a stack of wood will only count as 1. A dispenser and lever works around this. An advantage and disadvantage is that you need to be Oped in order to use it since the tellraw commands make you do the scoreboard changing so you need access to the scoreboard.
