We continue the process of building the prison, and it turns out that there's a peculiar behavior when it comes to the AI and Pathfinding. Earlier in the process, I had laid down Yard as a placeholder, knowing that it would not be valid because it was not enclosed.

Unlike most other room types, which do not function when they are not valid. For example: Prisoners are not assigned to cells that are not valid. Staff cannot do Bureacracy Research unless they have an Office. In the case of Yards, even though a Yard is not secured behind a wall, Prisoners will still attempt to pathfind their way to a Yard, even though it isn't considered valid, and on top of that, guards will open doors allowing prisoners out to freedom.
