It occurs to me I haven't shown off my party at all in this game... time to fix that.
Abyssal Death may be an FOE found in the stratum but make no mistake it's very much a required boss as Olympia will sick one on you. But the only real thing to watch out for is when it uses Tear apart as this skill can take out half your parties HP but as far as I know it never goes for the move twice in a row, I'm not checking the Wiki you can look it up yourself. This boss has one problem and that's a weakness to electricity... and Finley has learned Etheric charge so now she's going to start ending the lives of bosses very quickly.
Anyways for the conditional drop you need to kill abyssal death with nonelemental damage so basically just turn on picnic mode and auto battle one of the FOE's if you're that worried about it.
And because it's etrian Odyssey 3 the boss isn't immune to instant death.
