If you want some high quality details description of what the heck is going on wait for the inevitable Araxxor Video. I'm just gonna do my best.

Before we get into the main fight you have to battle the... false abyssal god? Abyssal Nephew? Form 1 and it's very weird
Difficulty: Varies/10
It's attack pattern will differ depending on how many tentacles are still alive and this also determines it's weaknesses. I kill 6 of them so I could reliably kill them in one meteor cast even with only 5 hits. So this phase is cake but otherwise learn the elemental patten and you won't take damage but no deviation is allowed now for the real fight.

I'm sorry I said Elder Dragon may be harder I take it back.
Difficulty: Extremely/10
I would say this is the hardest fight in the entire origins collection without falling into the realm of bullsh*t, hi there night time Ur-Child. He's incredibly intelligent but you can use that brain against him.

Once the second form begins he has 4 HP thresholds. 100-76, 75-51, 50-26, 25-dead. And after turn 40 passes he'll enter a special rage mode.

Phase 1 is extremely easy once you learn his pattern.
He'll start in his passive form and Always do the following:
Physical counter
Magic Counter
Kinda weak attack that drains a bit of HP
Counters with status effect, includes petrify.
Recover 11000 HP (Can stop with head bind)
Enter Rage Mode

Once he enters Rage Mode he'll do the following
10 random melee hits that can remove buffs (Provoke and cover mitigate this)
Melee attack to entire party
Big scary attack that will one shot the single person it targets unless blocked by Overwatch
Powerful fire attack that debuffs your attack.
Powerful Ice attack that binds
Terrifying Thunder attack that lands multiple status effects.
Goes Back to Passive Mode.

This pattern will break once HP drops below 75%. Then you reach pattern 2

The Passive mode will essentially read your inputs and always use the correct counter. Get around this with either Knighthood to give the attacker max priority or have a character with a low damage specialty weapon attack. IT IS ESSENTIAL AT LEAST ONE PERSON ATTACKS EACH TURN OTHERWISE IT WILL HEAL ITSELF FOR POTENTIALL 11000 DAMAGE
It also has an invisible action counter for the passive phases from now on where every 6 actions it takes, throwing up a counter or each person it attacks, it will Enter Rage mode and use either the 10 hit melee attack or the Fire attack.

After that it generally follows a pattern of:
Lightning
Ice
Spam or Fire (whichever it didn't open with)
DIE
Melee to everyone

Then we get to below half health where the passive mode will primarily counter with status effects making this part very annoying... or it would be but I guess I lucked out and he stayed in anger mode so let's talk about that.

In this phase it's no longer set in stone what actions it will do however it has requirements:

If someone is debuffed it will not use fire
If somehow has a bad status it will not use thunder
If someone has a head bind it will not use ice (Yggdroids can manipulate this heavily)
It will only use demon rage if the party is at max HP OR it senses you have too many buff.
It won't use the one shot attack if everyone is above a certain HP threshold (roughly 75%)
It won't use the same move twice in a row.

Lastly it enters the final form once you drop it below 25% HP.
The passive form will read inputs again but sometimes it'll default to the status counter or draining and WILL go for the big heal if you don't attack it, it can also go enraged without the counter hitting 6 and open with any attack.

The Enraged form is mostly unchanged just preferring elemental attacks.

If you go past turn 40 it will permanently enrage and now deal absurd damage.

There's a lot to pack in but here's what you want to keep in mind.
A Hoplite Ninja is amazing here. It increases party survivability with double line guards and more importantly double elemental shields to help take out the guess work. It's physical attacks hurt but you can fairly reliably survive them during the first 40 turns but the elemental attacks may as well be a nuclear bomb.

USE YOUR LIMITS!
If you're going for more offense I recommend Charge tactic and Immortal for a safety net. If you're trying to outlast him and force him to turn 40 I recommend Aegis or uroboros Shield.

Purchase Bravants: Seriously those items may be easy to forget but their attack buff is considerably on an endgame team.

This fight will still take a lot of tries and effort but you can pull through with the team of your own... as long as you have a hoplite.

0:00 JESUS CHRIST FINLEY!
0:54 The part you came to see
22:50 The team of dinguses
24:01 Goodbyes
