Ahead of the 2027 General Election, the European Union has expressed dismay over gross disregard by the Nigerian Government to Implement recommendations made on the 2023 polls.
This was made known at a news conference in Abuja.
The Chief of the EU follow up International Election Observers Mission, Barry Andrews said out of twenty-three recommendations made at the time, only one has so far been carried out.
He also spoke on other aspects of electoral process that the government must look into in order to win trust and confidence in the 2027 general election.
On if the European Union International Observers Mission will monitor the Anambra State off-circle election, the EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Gautier Mignot who was at the event said it was not part of its mandates.
The mission however, assured Nigerians of the EU's commitment to ensure that a free, fair, credible and transparent electoral process is adhered to.
