Euro Truck simulator 2 now has Oculus rift DK2 support so we jump in along with all the sim gear and see what things are like !

Virtual reality seems to be coming ever closer with the arrival of the Oculus rift development kit 2. We now get a chance to experience VR with full head tracking, less screen door and with far more detail due to the 1080p screen built into the device.

It has to be said the DK2 is still very much a development device, its not the most comfortable thing to ware and its not a 100% seamless user experience, but with a small bit of polish the consumer oculus is likely to blow our trousers off !

Euro truck simulator 2 works really well with the device , looking and moving around the cabin is an incredible experience in and of itself and the sense of 3D is mind-blowing. Menus however can be a bit of a pain to navigate and there seem to be some issues with stutter and blur which no doubt will be fixed in the long term.

As a taster of what is to come in the next year or so the DK2 makes me more happy than ever to be a gamer,geek and sim fan !
