Eve online - QoL patch notes
TL;DW - all about how i don't like the newest iteration of clone service Quality of Life 'improvement' by CCP.
It's ironic that in the two weeks of this credible threat to my upwells, that i discovered i needed to keep my assets out of my upwells and in NPC stations (that included implant set clones)...the stuff i hardly or infrequently used.
During this war i spent a full week of backbreaking labor safing up my ships/clones, and the luxury of the enemy's slow pace gave me that lifeline...and it's something i cannot count on in the future...i was lucky.
I realized i should only keep literally a few implant sets for each character in my nearby upwells, and only keep the ships i regularly fly for each set in those upwells...the rest need to be in separate nearby upwells dedicated to a role (an implant set's advantages in that role)
The one thing i've learned over the years is to diversify each client i have so that i can think, "okay i need a gallente ship with their particular bonuses, in an active tanking role" - and i can go, okay that'll be one of my mains dedicated to gallente and that character has the implant set over there at that upwell with all the applicably fit ships in that same upwell (or a nearby npc station dedicated to that, if i have lots of ships of that role that i don't use that often)
==================== ADDENDUM
active tanking: crystal (shield), asklepian (armor)
passive tanking: nirvana (shield), amulet (armor)
ecm: centurion
energy xfer: talisman [there's one for RR now i forget the name of the set]
ore/ice: the harvest set is really helpful, and i usually have genolution too...i diversified the ice fit to be hydra implant instead of harvest.
low sig radius: halo
speed: slave
probing: virtue
ECCM: grail (for amarr) - i actually don't have any more of these sets
