Here is a Nostalgia Trip back into the year 2006. There is a new Everquest 2 Classic TLE server starting on May 24th, name is Varsoon. The server features classic content from the beginning of Everquest 2 and opens up new expansions every 16 weeks. This is a great way to experience a game that I did not have time for back in the day, so I will play a bit on it. With Varsoon comes also a 64Bit Client this year, which will make Everquest 2 run faster on modern machines (finally!)

This Video shows the classical starting Area and quests from back in 2006 on the Freeport side. The zone had already been revamped once back then and the total original Isle of Refuge is no longer available. Instead there were two versions then, one for Qeynos and one for Freeport. Here we play a Troll Shadow Knight, which is a real classic and iconic Race/Class Combo in Everquest 1 and Everquest 2. There are many other players here (most other servers are quite dead here) and we form a group with a friend, compete for the named spawn "Bladefin" vs others and more :)
