Extract the .VPK files by using the EQ2 VPK tool (created by Blaz not me):
http://ps23dformat.wikispaces.com/file/view/Eq2VpkTool-1.2.3.zip
However I did create scripts to convert the .draw files into .3ds files (and from .3ds to .draw).
Here is the latest version of the script:
http://ps23dformat.wikispaces.com/file/view/EQ2DrawTo3dsUVfinalMay.bms
Its a quickbms script so you need quickbms:
http://aluigi.altervista.org/quickbms.htm
You also NEED to run quickbms with the -w commandline option (the w in -w must be lowercase). So type in the path to quickbms.exe and add an -w
For example:
C:\quickbms\quickbms.exe -w
Then follow the prompts.
I have had some success in manually importing some eq2 models (.draw) from the uncompressed .vpk archives (sony's way of compressing data so that the game takes up less space. I had to use a hex editor to change some things around. The Textures do overlap, because there is no information in the mesh file itself on what texture layer to apply in which area in the mesh. I hope to get a blender script uploaded, because then it would be simpler than me taking 4 minutes to copy file segments in a hex editor. The models shown, are: Sabertooth, Warg, and a dragon (lord vyneom)
A rough version of the .draw format is:
N vertexes, followed by N normals followed by N Texture x,y Coordinates. Followed by The 3 Vertex-Face List.
