Awesome story driven space shooter, similar to games like the old Freelancer. Except you might not be able to play as a pirate here, I'm not sure.. There are heaps or maybe infinite random side quests or events that pop up, It's up to you how many and when you want to do them, or just focus on the main story arc. You can collect resources and become an intergalactic trader. Mouse and keyboard or flightstick will probably be most accurate. Gamepad is fun, but the analog sticks are too sensitive to be accurate so you need to use the games built-in gamepad auto-aim feature. You can literary fly around indefinitely cleaning up the galaxy to your hearts content if you wish.
