The spectre of death looms over the current crop of LEGO sets, as June has brought an update to the LEGO Group’s internal retirement schedule for their existing products. The following LEGO sets have now been scheduled for retirement before the end of 2023 – retirement in this case being the date by which the LEGO Group will no longer be providing retailers with new stock.
The sets newly rescheduled to disappear by December 31, 2023 at the latest are:
• 71777 Kai’s Dragon Power Spinjitzu Flip
• 71778 Nya's Dragon Power Spinjitzu Drift
• 71779 Lloyd's Dragon Power Spinjitzu Spin
• 40568 Paris Postcard
• 75577 Mako Submarine
• 75578 Metkayina Reef Home
• 41758 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar 2023
• 75366 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar
In addition, the following LEGO sets have moved from retirement in December of this year to July:
• 42129 4×4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros Trial Truck
• 21187 The Red Barn
So, be aware that they’re going to be gone sooner rather than later.
